At Grist & Toll, we are not your traditional flour millers. We are bakers who became obsessed with our primary ingredient - flour. It has become our mission to source the best and most delicious grain, mill it in a purists manner on an authentic stone mill, and get it into your hands as fresh as possible.
At Grist & Toll, we produce all of our flour by a process known as whole grain, stone milling. That means we grind the wheat or grain with the whole berry intact - no tempering, or soaking, the grains prior to milling in order to separate the germ and the bran from the endosperm. This process preserves that we hold most hear: nutrients: flavor and integrity.
